Structured Credit / CLO Associates – London
A leading international law firm is seeking to expand its London Structured Credit team with the appointment of associates at two levels:
- NQ +
- 4+ years’ PQE
The team advises leading asset managers, arrangers and financial institutions on sophisticated structured credit transactions. CLOs will form a major part of the role, alongside related structured finance and credit products.
The role
Successful candidates will work on a broad range of European CLO matters, potentially including:
- New CLO issuances
- Warehouse financing
- Refinancings, resets and reissues
- Amendments and restructurings
- Risk-retention and regulatory matters
- Other structured credit and asset-backed financing transactions
The role offers direct exposure to major market participants and the opportunity to take meaningful responsibility for complex, cross-border transactions.
Candidate profile
Applications are invited from England and Wales-qualified lawyers with strong technical ability and experience in structured finance, securitisation or structured credit.
Existing CLO experience would be particularly valuable. However, junior associates with strong transactional finance experience and a genuine interest in developing specialist CLO expertise are also encouraged to apply.
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Strong drafting and transaction-management skills
- A sound understanding of structured finance or debt products
- A commercial and solutions-focused approach
- Confidence working directly with clients and counterparties
- Strong interpersonal and teamworking skills
- An interest in developing client relationships and contributing to business development
