An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced solicitor to join a leading national Health Commercial & Regulatory practice.

The Opportunity
The role has a particular focus on data protection and information law, alongside broader commercial and technology matters. You will advise major NHS, healthcare, life sciences and health-tech organisations on increasingly complex issues surrounding the collection, sharing and use of data.
The work will include data processing and sharing agreements, international data transfers, data breaches, privacy policies, subject access requests and novel uses of data, including matters involving health-tech and clinical research.
Alongside the healthcare practice, you will also provide specialist data protection support to clients operating in other sectors, allowing you to maintain and develop a broader privacy and information law practice.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Advising NHS, healthcare, public sector and commercial clients on data protection and information law
- Drafting and negotiating data sharing and processing agreements and advising on international data transfers
- Advising on data breaches, privacy policies, subject access requests and the use of data in health-tech and research
- Drafting broader commercial arrangements, including technology contracts, framework agreements, call-off terms and licensing arrangements
About you
- Qualified Solicitor with experience in data protection, information law and/or relevant commercial work
- Experience can have been gained within or outside the healthcare sector
- Strong understanding of data protection and information governance issues, or commercial/technology contracting with an interest in developing further expertise in data
