Fantastic opportunity to pursue exciting career in advocacy
This is a really exciting opportunity for anyone looking to pursue and develop a strong career in advocacy work. Our client is a leading ‘top tier’ insurance litigation firm who has a growing in-house advocacy team. The advocacy team undertakes advocacy and court work as well as providing advisory guidance on files for various practice groups within the firm.
The aim is to grow the department so that they take on the majority of advocacy work, without the requirement to instruct external counsel so much. The team is still relatively new, but has already achieved a firm footing within the wider insurance practice. It consists of Barristers and Solicitor Advocates as well as advocates from other areas such as Costs Negotiators who have decided they wish to pursue a career in advocacy.
Range of work from personal injury, fraud and professional indemnity
At present, the main staple of the work consists of Motor Fraud work and EL/PL work as well as professional indemnity. The team is also already undertaking advocacy work for other teams in other areas of commercial insurance litigation and complex subrogated loss.
This in-house team is still developing and growing and therefore this is a fantastic time to join the team and develop your experience whilst also having the opportunity to develop specialisms as one might in Chambers. The in-house advocacy team is structed in such a way as to allow advocates the freedom and flexibility to evolve as advocates with the safety and security of a steady flow of work.
Broad variety of applicants considered
The team is keen to meet with Barristers or solicitor advocates. They are also keen to meet other candidates who are looking for a new challenge. This includes costs advocates who are perhaps looking to broaden their horizons and develop their advocacy career further.
