Senior Associate – Real Estate Disputes
Location: Bristol
Salary: Up to £95,000
PQE: 5+ years
Previous Experience: Real estate litigation, ideally gained within a leading national, international or City practice
The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Real Estate Disputes Solicitor to join a highly regarded commercial property disputes practice in Bristol.
The team advises on complex disputes across real estate investment, development and regeneration, retail and hospitality, corporate occupiers, hotels and leisure, with a strong mix of domestic and international work.
You will also work closely with specialists across corporate, insolvency and commercial disputes on matters requiring broader expertise.
Key Responsibilities
You will handle a broad range of sophisticated property disputes, with particular emphasis on commercial lease disputes, development matters and property insolvency. The role offers significant autonomy, including responsibility for your own caseload, direct client relationships and supervision of junior lawyers.
- Advising on contentious lease renewals, lease obligations and related court proceedings
- Handling possession claims and associated injunctive relief
- Advising on tenant and borrower insolvency matters
- Managing disputes arising from development agreements, joint ventures and other property contracts
- Advising on restrictive covenants, rights of way, adverse possession and land registration disputes
- Managing your own complex caseload while supervising and supporting junior lawyers
About You
- Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE
- Strong grounding in commercial real estate litigation
- Particular experience in commercial lease, development and/or property insolvency disputes
- Experience managing complex matters independently and supervising junior fee earners
