Professional Indemnity Paralegal / Litigation Paralegal – Fantastic opportunity for paralegal with at least one year of experience in professional indemnity and / or professional indemnity.

As a result of progression within the team, an opportunity has arisen for a talented paralegal with proven professional indemnity experience to join and assist the Partner on a broad caseload of quality professional indemnity work.


Professional indemnity is a highly attractive area of insurance litigation, demanding an excellent grasp of the legal principles involved, but also an entirely commercial and common sense approach to each matter. Cases can often be complex, intricate and high value, so the team insists on attracting only the most dedicated and capable legal minds.


Candidates who demonstrate experience within the Professional Indemnity / Professional Negligence team of a respected legal practice will certainly be at an advantage. However, this is a notoriously difficult area for which to recruit. Therefore, applications from candidates with good commercial or general litigation background are also strongly encouraged.

The role will involve everything from legal research to drafting instructions to counsel and liaising with the various parties involved with a particular claim. Furthermore, candidates should:

  • be able to identify issues such as breach of duty of care and causation;
  • be able to demonstrate a strong academic record;
  • possess excellent attention to detail;
  • have excellent communication skills.

It is also expected that the successful candidate will be involved in the team’s marketing programme to help further build the profile of the Professional Indemnity department and help drive the team forward.
