PERSONAL INJURY SOLICITOR / ASSOCIATE EL/PL – MANCHESTER

Personal Injury Solicitor – This is an exciting chance to join an expanding team offering a blend of fast track and multi track EL/PL. You will be assisting a highly respected Partner, recognised in both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners. The role offers exposure to the highest quality work advising self-insured clients across a number of different sectors including housing and leisure.

GENERAL INTRODUCTION / OVERVIEW

• Job Title: Associate (0-4 PQE guide only)
• Location: Manchester
• Salary:£35,000 – £38,000
• Reports to: Partner / Head of Department
• Previous experience: Candidates must be able to demonstrate solid litigated EL/PL experience ideally from a defendant insurance background.

DEFENDANT LITIGATED WORK

The work can involve advising on anything from fast track to multi track cases and the variety of different matters is certainly one of the main attractions of the opportunity, not least because solicitors are able to develop skills across a number of different sectors.

A solid grasp of the litigation process is therefore essential. Furthermore, the team also undertakes cross border work especially in relation to their clients who operate in the leisure sector. An experience of cross border work, therefore, would be beneficial but not crucial.

STRONG LITIGATORS WANTED

The department is looking to attract strong litigators, but also lawyers who can think on their feet and who feel comfortable advising on a variety of work. Excellent service levels are a must as the successful candidate will be expected to develop good working relationships enabling the best client experience.
