A leading national litigation practice is seeking a Personal Injury Solicitor to join its highly regarded Bristol team.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop a broad and varied litigation practice, combining high-quality defendant Employers’ Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) work with exposure to regulatory investigations, inquests and product liability matters.

Working within a nationally recognised team, you will gain experience advising major corporate clients on complex and often high-profile cases, while benefiting from structured development and mentoring from experienced Partners and senior lawyers.

Range of injury work and opportunity to build regulatory experience

You will manage a caseload of defendant EL/PL claims ranging from fast-track matters through to complex multi-track litigation, while also supporting senior lawyers on catastrophic injury, regulatory and product liability cases.

The role offers a unique opportunity to broaden your expertise beyond traditional personal injury litigation and develop valuable experience across a range of complementary practice areas.

Your caseload will include:

  • Defendant Employers’ Liability (EL) claims
  • Defendant Public Liability (PL) claims
  • Fast-track and multi-track litigation
  • Catastrophic and serious injury matters
  • Product liability disputes
  • Health & Safety investigations
  • Inquests and related proceedings
  • Regulatory and compliance-related litigation

You will work closely with insurer, corporate and commercial clients across a variety of sectors, advising on both litigation strategy and risk management.

What your caseload will look like

  • Managing a caseload of EL/PL claims from instruction through to resolution
  • Assisting on technical injury matters up to catastrophic injury
  • Supporting clients during regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings
  • Assisting with inquests, hearings and product liability disputes
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements and legal submissions
  • Liaising with counsel, experts, insurers and corporate clients
  • Advising on litigation strategy, liability and risk management issues
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships

What the team is looking for

Applications are welcomed from Solicitors with between NQ and 2 years’ PQE who can demonstrate:

  • Experience handling EL/PL litigation matters – other areas such as industrial disease considered
  • Strong technical litigation and case management skills
  • Excellent drafting and analytical abilities
  • A proactive and commercially aware approach
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
  • An interest in developing expertise in regulatory, product liability or inquest work

Both claimant and defendant backgrounds will be considered.
