Litigation Solicitor (NQ-4 years PQE) – Marine Team – Manchester
NQ/Junior Associate/Associate Solicitor – Our international Law firm client is currently seeking a Solicitor (NQ-4 years PQE) to join its Marine team in the Manchester office.
While previous experience in the logistics, marine, and shipping sectors is desirable, candidates with a strong commercial litigation background and an interest in transitioning into this specialist field are encouraged to apply.
Title: Associate
Location: Manchester
Salary: DOE- up to £70,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of files in line with service level agreements.
- Acting in both claimant and defendant capacities in complex marine claims.
- Liaising with clients and providing professional, high-level service.
- Negotiating settlements and preparing instructions to counsel and experts.
- Leading cases through litigation and keeping up to date with legal developments.
Experience and Skills:
- Experience in logistics, marine, or shipping sectors is preferred but not essential.
- Commercial litigation experience is also considered.
- High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage a varied workload efficiently.
- Ability to build professional relationships internally and externally.
