IT Infrastructure Team Lead x2 – This leading international law firm is looking for two infrastructure Team Leads as part of a major recruitment drive to strengthen their IT Team. Candidates with proven experience of delivering technical projects coupled with leadership qualities are sought as the team enters an exciting phase of its IT roadmap. The successful candidates will be responsible for the delivery of critical infrastructure and application-based projects.   • Reports to: IT Infrastructure Manager
  • Previous Experience: Proven understanding of Infrastructure Operations and VMware management as well as Microsoft Server technologies including Server 2012, 2016 and 2019. Strong networking experience coupled with Disaster Recovery experience. Sound appreciation of applications and HA. Candidates should also have previous experience of Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Sites / Services and native replication technologies.

Law firm undergoing major recruitment in infrastructure team

The recruitment of these two roles should be seen in the context of a wider recruitment drive to strengthen the infrastructure team. The infrastructure team is currently recruiting four Infrastructure Analysts and two Infrastructure Team Leads as they invest heavily in their IT team and PMO. The infrastructure Team sits across the Liverpool and Manchester offices as well as internationally in their Singapore office.

The two Infrastructure Team Lead roles in the Liverpool office are a critical part of this recruitment drive and will help to give real shape and leadership to the team.

Key attributes

The hiring managers are looking for proven experience in the following:

  • Infrastructure Operations
  • VMware management and maintenance.
  • Microsoft Server technologies – including Server 2012, 2016 and 2019.
  • Disaster Recovery and High Availability technologies
  • A strong understanding of applications and HA technologies
  • Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Sites / Services and native replication technologies.
  • Windows file services including DFSR.
  • monitoring technologies including tools such as Solarwinds as well as SNMP and MIB sets to configure and fine tune service monitoring to correctly alert and give statistics on availability and performance.
  • Excellent task management, team leading and time management skills

What the Infrastructure Team Lead roles involve

The team are looking for a blend of team management / leadership qualities as well as technical expertise. The successful candidates will lead a more junior infrastructure team overseeing the HR support piece as well as balancing their technical workload whether working on projects with the PMO or dealing with escalations from the IT Service Delivery Team.

The role also involves a step up in management duties so you will become directly involved in the recruitment and development of your team as well as Deputising for the Service Delivery Manager when required.
