Perhaps you have solid infrastructure experience working in another commercial operation or perhaps you are currently working for an MSP and looking for a move in-house.

Infrastructure Analyst – overview

• Job title: IT Infrastructure Analyst
• Location: Liverpool
• Salary: to £45,000
• Reports to: IT Infrastructure Manager
• Previous Experience: Strong understanding and previous experience of VMware management and maintenance coupled with an understanding of Microsoft Server technologies and associated services. General troubleshooting experience as well as an appreciation of disaster recovery technologies. Previous experience working in a law firm may be beneficial, but is not crucial.

The infrastructure team is undergoing an exciting period of change and development, involving, in particular, a vast upgrade and investment in their systems across their IT network, not-to-mention a major recruitment drive to ensure the team has access to the best talent to spearhead some key projects.

You will be working for a top 100 law firm which has grown its IT team substantially over recent years as the company continues along its strategy to upgrade and integrate its IT capabilities in line with the overall business strategy of the practice.

The role offers a broad spectrum of varied work as well as the chance to be involved in innovative projects with access to the very latest technologies. In particular, the successful candidate will:

• report to the Service Delivery Manager of the Infrastructure team to develop and maintain the Operational Infrastructure / IT Systems both nationally and global;
• be a point of escalation for more complex issues encountered by the team of Service Desk Analysts;
• embrace and enable the firm’s IT roadmap
• work in line with all relevant policies for all service delivery matters and technological matters as well as hardware and software procurement.
• proactively contribute to knowledge transfer to the IT Service Desk to move repetitive and well documented tasks to this team.
• create and maintain test plans and recovery methods of all systems as well as other documentation and procedures.
• keep themselves up-to-dated in relation to relevant trends in the market especially infrastructure and security trends.

This opportunity offers a myriad of responsibilities: everything from BAU to helping to support and deliver larger, engaging projects across the firm’s national and international network.

The successful applicants will be an integral part of the infrastructure team in maintaining the firm’s existing IT infrastructure. You will also work closely with the IT Service Desk function helping them to find solutions to more complex issues. Furthermore, the roles also offer the chance to work with the firm’s PMO function and gain invaluable experience helping to deliver cutting edge projects.
