Healthcare Advisory Associate – NQ-1 PQE Solicitor – Manchester

Healthcare Advisory Solicitor / Associate – This is an outstanding opportunity for an NQ solicitor who is looking to develop a career in healthcare advisory work at a major national ‘top tier’ law firm. Candidates should ideally be able to demonstrate a seat in healthcare work on their training contract. That said, applicants who can demonstrate a clear and keen interest in this area will also be considered.

  • Previous Experience: NQ-1 – ideally experience in Court of Protection; investigations and inquest work. Patient welfare and experience of dealing with healthcare cases involving patients with mental incapacity. The team is also willing to consider candidates who can demonstrate a clear interest and passion for this area of law.

Mix of Court of Protection, inquests and investigation work

This is an excellent team with an outstanding reputation in healthcare law. They advise a range of healthcare clients in the public and private sector. Work can range from Court of Protection matters to inquests and high-profile investigations. Many of the cases dealt with by the team are reported and the more experienced members of the team and the Partners are regarded as leaders in this field.

The department also undertakes other regulatory and advisory work affecting clients which is a constantly evolving area of law.

A varied skill set and a role which draws on a range of skills

Those who have completed a seat in this area and have experience of areas such as Judicial Review, the Mental Health Review Tribunal and the Court of Protection should certainly apply.

However, this is a very niche discipline so the team will certainly consider strong candidates with a demonstrable passion for this area of law. All applicants should demonstrate strong academics and a real aptitude for grappling with technical and often nuanced legal concepts.
