Employment Solicitor – Associate or Senior Associate
One of our leading law firm clients is looking to hire an experienced solicitor at Associate or Senior Associate level. The role is to work with their national team. The opportunity offers tremendous avenues for progression and development coupled with high-value work.
Overview
- Title: Associate / Senior Associate
- Location: Manchester
- Salary: £80,000 to £105,000
- PQE: ideally 5 PQE+
- Reports to: Partner
- Experience: Proven employment experience from reputable team – ideally mix of contentious and non-contentious experience.
About the work
The team advises on the full range of employment matters, from day-to-day workplace issues and Employment Tribunal claims to corporate transactions, restructurings and cross-border projects. You will have direct client contact, responsibility for your own matters and the support of an established team.
The role will include:
- Advising employers on complex employee relations, disciplinary and grievance matters.
- Managing contentious work, including discrimination and whistleblowing claims.
- Advising on redundancies, reorganisations, TUPE and other collective issues.
- Providing employment support on corporate transactions and strategic projects.
- Building client relationships and contributing to the development of the practice.
- Supporting junior colleagues where appropriate to your experience.
We would like to hear from employment solicitors with at least five years’ post-qualification experience and a strong grounding in both contentious and non-contentious work. Experience of transactional employment matters would be particularly valuable. You should be comfortable giving clear, commercially focused advice and working closely with clients and colleagues across different practice areas.
The appointment can be made at Associate or Senior Associate level, depending on the successful candidate’s experience. It offers a broad caseload, substantial client exposure and a clear opportunity to develop within a highly regarded team.
