Costs negotiator / draftsperson – Manchester – This is a great opportunity for any costs draftsperson who is looking for a new challenge and wanting to join a team offering a fantastic spread of work including specialist niche areas of costs.
Candidates may be unqualified or qualified should expect to be advising on a broad range of costs matters from personal injury-related costs work to costs cases arising out of commercial litigation.

- Previous Experience: Experience of drafting budgets, schedules of costs and bills. Ideally experience of complex costs work would be useful including multi track work. Candidates must also demonstrate sharp negotiation skills. Advocacy experience would also be helpful, but is not crucial.
Nature of the work – including niche areas – cargo and aviation
This is an established law firm with an impeccable reputation in the market. The costs team is significant in size and headed by two Partners. The team advises on a range of costs matters from personal injury-related work at all levels including catastrophic / Large Loss cases to complex commercial insurance costs such as professional risk and property liability work.
The team also advises on niche areas of costs work including costs cases arising out of high-profile aviation and cargo disputes. The size of the team is such that work is allocated in relation to a colleague’s experience so that everyone one is able to gain exposure to all different types of costs work and progress when they feel able.
