Residential Conveyancing Assistant – Manchester

Residential Conveyancing Assistant – An exciting conveyancing assistant role offering excellent training and progression has arisen with this leading Manchester firm. The role mainly focuses on post completion work, so experience in handling post completion work on residential property files would be useful.

Role and responsibilities

  • Reports to: Head of Conveyancing
  • Previous Experience: Ideally 6 months experience in a conveyancing-related role. The role encompasses a number of duties including assisting fee earners with searches and other aspects of a sale / purchase file. It also involves assisting on post completion matters and dealing with the land registry.

The conveyancing department

This is a highly-regarded team and one of the most well-connected in the North West. It has now grown to a substantial size although further organic growth is anticipated.

They also receive work from an enviable list of Conveyancing referrers who operate throughout the country as well as dealing with the firm’s high-net-worth clients. The Conveyancing team, provides a national Conveyancing service as well as a more localised offering to its Manchester client base.

Growth and expansion of the team

Due to further growth and expansion a number of positions have emerged to assist the fee earners within the team. This is a crucial role, which enables the Conveyancing department to operate at optimum efficiency. Candidates will be expected to undertake a range of administrative Conveyancing duties including:

  • opening new files;
  • organising reports and searches;
  • undertaking various post completion tasks;
  • liaising with the Land Registry; and
  • arranging meetings and liaising with contacts and third parties.

Organisational skills with excellent communication skills

This is a fast-paced department dealing with a high volume of Conveyancing transactions. Candidates need to be highly organised, professional and have excellent communication skills.

Candidates must be capable of working quickly and accurately and possess a real interest in Residential Conveyancing and a desire to grow and develop a career within the Conveyancing Team.

Progression and development with team

Paralegals who are recruited as Conveyancing Assistants will be encouraged to grow and progress until they are able to take on a full fee earning position.
