A nationally recognised and award-winning Complex Injury team is seeking a Catastrophic Injury Solicitor.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded defendant insurance practice and work on a broad range of high-value, technically challenging catastrophic injury claims. The role offers exposure to some of the most complex personal injury litigation in the market, together with excellent opportunities for progression and professional development.
Progress within a stellar complex injury team
One of the main purposes of this piece of recruitment is to attract solicitors looking to progress to senior positions within the team.
You will manage a varied caseload of serious and catastrophic injury matters while working closely with experienced Partners and senior lawyers on complex, multi-million-pound claims. You will also be encouraged to develop your client relationship skills.
Highly technical work – life-changing injuries
The team acts for major insurer and corporate clients on a wide range of life-changing injury cases and is recognised for its expertise in handling complex liability and quantum disputes.
Your caseload will include:
- Catastrophic and life-changing injury claims
- Brain injury litigation
- Spinal cord injury claims
- Amputation cases
- Fatal accident claims
- High-value Road Traffic Accident (RTA) matters
- Employers’ Liability (EL) claims
- Public Liability (PL) claims
- Complex multi-track litigation
What is expected of you?
- Managing claims from instruction through to resolution
- Handling complex and high-value personal injury litigation
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements and technical reports
- Attending Joint Settlement Meetings, mediations and court hearings
- Liaising with counsel, medical experts and insurer clients
- Advising on liability, quantum and litigation strategy
- Contributing to strategic decision-making on significant claims
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
Ideal candidates
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors who can demonstrate:
- Experience handling personal injury litigation matters
- Strong drafting, analytical and case management skills
- Exposure to complex and/or higher-value claims
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- A proactive, collaborative and commercially focused approach
- A genuine interest in catastrophic injury and large loss litigation
Both claimant and defendant backgrounds will be considered.
