UK-Wide | Remote / Hybrid Working | Up to £65,000 + Benefits | 1+ PQE

A leading national law firm, recognised in both the Legal 500 and Chambers directories, is seeking a Catastrophic Injury Solicitor to join its innovative flexible working programme.

This is a rare opportunity to combine genuine flexibility with exposure to some of the most complex and high-value injury litigation in the market. Working within a nationally recognised catastrophic injury practice, you will have the opportunity to support a range of specialist teams while developing broad expertise across serious injury and large loss claims.

A truly flexible opportunity built around you

The firm has developed a unique working model designed to offer lawyers greater flexibility, variety and career development. Rather than being aligned exclusively to one team, you will work alongside leading catastrophic injury specialists across multiple practice areas, supporting key client relationships and high-profile litigation.

This structure provides exposure to a wider range of work than is typically available within a traditional team environment, making it an excellent opportunity for ambitious lawyers seeking to accelerate their development.

Varied caseload of high-value, complex injury

You will manage and assist on a broad range of complex and high-value claims, including:

  • Traumatic brain injury claims
  • Spinal cord injury claims
  • Amputation cases
  • Fatal accident litigation
  • Serious orthopaedic injuries
  • Multi-million-pound personal injury claims
  • Complex liability and quantum disputes

You will also have the opportunity to:

  • Work across multiple specialist catastrophic injury teams
  • Support major insurer and corporate client relationships
  • Undertake internal secondments and project-based assignments
  • Collaborate with Partners and senior lawyers across the national practice
  • Gain exposure to a broad range of litigation strategies and case types

Key elements of the role

  • Managing your own caseload of serious injury and catastrophic claims
  • Assisting on complex, high-value litigation matters
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements and technical reports
  • Liaising with counsel, experts and clients
  • Advising on liability, quantum and litigation strategy
  • Attending conferences, mediations and settlement discussions
  • Supporting knowledge-sharing and wider team initiatives

Who they are looking for

Applications are welcomed from Solicitors with a minimum of 1 year’s PQE who can demonstrate:

  • Experience handling serious injury or catastrophic injury claims
  • Strong drafting, analytical and case management skills
  • Exposure to complex and/or higher-value litigation, ideally involving claims valued in excess of £500,000
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • A collaborative, adaptable and proactive approach
  • The ability to work effectively across different teams and practice areas

Both claimant and defendant backgrounds will be considered.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor seeking greater flexibility without compromising on the quality, complexity or profile of their work.
