One of our law firm clients is looking to grow their defendant complex injury team at both Associate and Senior Associate level. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading team specialising in complex personal injury claims, including RTA and EL/PL work.

More about the role
The exact nature of the role will depend on your level of experience. For instance, successful candidates who are at the start of their career will tend to assist more experienced lawyers with their caseload, whilst candidates with a more developed grasp of complex injury will be encouraged to carry their own caseload though support and guidance is always available.
As a general guide, your duties will be responsible for:
- Managing a caseload of complex catastrophic injury claims, from pre-litigation through to settlement or trial.
- Drafting and reviewing court documents, witness statements, and expert reports.
- Attending Joint Settlement Meetings (JSMs), Court hearings, and mediations.
- Collaborating with medical experts, counsel, and clients to develop case strategy.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members.

Catastrophic Injury lawyers in the team tend to carry high-value multi-track cases, including:
- Head and Brain Injuries
- Spinal Cord Injuries
- Amputations
- Fatal Claims
- Serious Orthopaedic Injuries
- Complex Employer’s Liability (EL) & Public Liability (PL) Claims
