EL/PL – Fraud – Solicitor / Associate
An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Casualty Fraud Solicitor to manage a caseload of suspected fraudulent Employer Liability and Public Liability cases for a range of leading insurance clients as well as help develop more junior members of the team
Location – Manchester or Liverpool
Salary – Up to £56,000
Previous Experience – Managing a caseload of suspected EL/PL Fraud matters.
Most cases are Fast-Track, with potential exposure to Multi-Track/Intermediate Track matters up to £100K, generally managed on a non-delegated authority basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing primary and secondary liability in EL/PL claims.
- Managing cases in line with client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Conducting thorough evidence reviews, including witness statements, medical records, and property inspections.
- Handling disclosure, investigations, and procedural applications.
- Liaising with Counsel and experts, including drafting questions for medical professionals.
- Preparing legal documents such as costs schedules, counter schedules, and trial bundles.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience managing EL/PL caseloads and litigation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in client care and adherence to guidelines for non-delegated authority cases.
- Effective time management and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
